Daniel W. Weinstein, Founder and Principal
Prior to founding Innovance, Dan managed the licensing of technologies at Stanford University’s Office of Technology Licensing. At OTL, Dan was responsible for a portfolio of inventions from technology areas that included medical devices, mechanical engineering, software, biotechnology, research tools and consumer products. He determined commercial potential of the technologies, developed patent and license strategies, identified and conducted due diligence on potential licensees, negotiated license agreements and managed relationships with licensees. Prior to Stanford, Dan was a marketing assistant at University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Technology Transfer, where he developed and executed marketing programs for Penn’s technologies. Dan has been a speaker at the Association of University Technology Managers annual meeting.
